Sitting on the eastern end of Lake Erie at the head of the Niagara River is the City of Buffalo. Buffalo is the second-largest city in the state of New York with a population of 255,805 according to the 2020 census. Buffalo has it all – beautiful natural beauty, scenic marinas, and amazing parks that both residents and visitors enjoy! If you are in the beginning stages of your house hunt, Buffalo is a great location to start your search.

Buffalo’s distance from the city allows it to maintain landmarks that show off its natural beauty. This is proven by landmarks such as the Botanical Gardens and the 264-acre Tift Nature Preserve. Buffalo has plenty of museums for anyone seeking to learn something new, including its recently renovated Museum of Science and the very popular Pierce-Arrow Transportation Museum. After a day at the museum, locals enjoy the stunning historical architecture of the area like St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Liberty Building. Many of Buffalo’s historical locations have been designated National Historical Landmarks or entered into the National Register of Historic Places.

The most noteworthy park to both visitors and new homeowners is Delaware Park – a historic park system and national historic district in the City of Buffalo. This park is the crown jewel, where families enjoy safe playgrounds, open green space, and of course lots of recreation opportunities. Grab a bite to eat at The Terrace at Delaware Park. Another great outdoor spot to check out is Larkin Square. This outdoor space offers a series of family-friendly events for you and your entire family to enjoy. You can also visit one of the city’s many water features, including Canalside and the Erie Basin Marina.
